Ryan Tedder’s said some things about the new Adele and Beyoncé albums

Ryan Tedder’s said some things about the new Adele and Beyoncé albums

Ryan Tedder’s been working on forthcoming albums from Adele and Beyoncé (‘LOL’), and now he’s said some things about them both.

“Adele sounds even better than before,” he told the Herald Sun. “I love where she’s at, she’s still my favourite artist in the world. I would press pause on my entire life if it meant I could go into the studio for a month straight with her.”

What about Beyoncé’s album of advert soundtracks?

“And Beyonce’s album will be mind-blowing.”

Hm.

As is the way these days, he also had something to say about Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’ video:

“I don’t want 12, 13, 14, 15, 16-year-old girls staring at Miley thinking, ‘The biggest asset I have is my body, especially if it’s naked, and the more naked I get the more successful I can get’”.

So there you go.

Adele to explore writing

Adele to explore writing

London - Adele has been asked to write a children's book.

The 25-year-old singer - who has 10-month-old son Angelo with her boyfriend Simon Konecki - has been approached by top publishing company Puffin to pen a story for kids which will be an easy-read for beginners, feature simple images and follow a storyline based on motherhood.

An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "Adele loves the idea. It won't reveal anything too personal as that's not her style. But the book will be something she can have as a memory of her early days as a mum and also something she can dedicate to her son. Everyone is very excited."

Adele - who won the Best Original Song Oscar earlier this year for her James Bond theme 'Skyfall' - will follow the likes of Madonna, Ricky Gervais and David Walliams who have also had big hits with children's fiction.

Puffin believe Adele is capable of matching the success of J. K. Rowling, the creator of the 'Harry Potter' franchise.

The source added: "The children's book market is flourishing with celebrities and Puffin have watched Adele's huge climb to super stardom.

"Everything Adele touches turns to gold and this would rocket the way J. K. Rowling and 'Harry Potter' did." - Bang Showbiz

Adele 2013’s Rise To Fame.

Adele 2013’s Rise To Fame.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Adele Laurie Blue Adkins or popularly known as Adele was born in North London, England on the 5th of May 1988. At an early age, she has seen passion for music wherein she was a huge fan of Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James. Adele is the daughter of Mark and Penny Adkins. Her mother was just 18 when she was born and her father left them when she was 4.

Although her father left them, he did everything to be in contact with Adele until her teen years. However, their relationship deteriorated as Mark’s alcohol problems become severe. On the contrary, Adele became very close to her mother Penny. Her mother always told her to continue exploring on different things.

Her passion for music

As Adele is growing up, she has developed her great interest for music. She isadele-2013-grammy-valentino an avid fan of the music of different artists, especially Mary J. Blige, Destiny’s Child, and Lauryn Hill. At the age of 15, she started collecting records of Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James and it became her true eye opening moment in the field of music. Adele admitted that they are not a family of singers, but her fascination to music made her love music even more. Adele is just 15 years old then, but she became very interested to the music of 40s.

Adele’s mom decided to enroll her in the BRIT School of Performing Arts & Technology. The turning point of Adele’s musicality was when she posted a three track demo for a class project on her MySpace page. The XL Recordings’ executives heard her track and right then and there they decided to contract her. Four months after her graduation, she signed a record deal with the company.

Adele’s phenomenal success

Adele was 19 years old when she began recording, which also became the title of her debut album. Two singles in her album became a hit, which rocketed her to fame. These two hit singles are “Chasing Pavements” and “Hometown Glory”.

Her album was released in the United States via the Columbia Records. The American audiences positively accepted her songs as marked in her appearance on Saturday Night Live in October of 2008. When the show was taped, her album was at number 40 on iTunes. Right after the airing of the show, her album became number 1 in less than 24 hours.  In 2009, Adele was awarded as the Best New Artist. She was also awarded as the Sound of 2008 by BBC. During the 2008 BRIT Awards, she won the “Critics’ Choice” prize.

More on Adele’s personal life

Rumor Has It: Is Adele Planning a Secret Wedding?

Adele is as famous for her love of privacy as she is for her beautiful voice. Last year, she announced her pregnancy when she was well into her second trimester, and she has yet to confirm that her baby son’s name is Angelo (though her name necklace and new “A” tattoo are pretty solid hints).

So it stands to reason that this mum would keep mum about her wedding plans as well. But a source tells Us Weekly that she and fiance Simon Konecki are busy putting together a super-secret affair.

“She’s been planning it for a while and is very involved,” says the insider.

The wedding is supposedly set for summer or fall at the couple’s new home in the seaside town of Brighton, England.

We can totally see Adele tying the knot in a romantic beach ceremony at sunset, with little Angelo decked out in a toddler tux. The guests might include Jennifer Lawrence, who apparently struck up a friendship with the singer during the Oscars last month.

The timing would also be right – no conflicts with awards shows, recording schedules or baby due dates.

But as with everything else personal in her life, Adele isn’t breathing a word about whether she is, in fact, going to caterer tastings and trying on gowns.

We’re kinda hoping that this is one rumor with more than a grain of truth.

Adele 'Persuaded By Robbie Williams Over Move To LA To Avoid Spotlight'

Adele 'Persuaded By Robbie Williams Over Move To LA To Avoid Spotlight'

Adele recently insisted that she would never move to America but it looks like she has been easily persuaded by her BFF Robbie Williams to consider a move to Los Angeles in a bid to avoid the spotlight and raise her baby son in a better environment.

The 'Rolling In The Deep hitmaker, who won her first Oscar last month for 'Skyfall,' has reportedly been taking the advice of Take That star Robbie on the best locations in the sunshine city on where to bring up her six-month-old son, away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi in the UK.

Adele, 24, is said to be keen on moving into a gated community where she can build a studio to work on her third studio album.

“Adele can see the benefits of bringing up a child in the US,” a source told The Mirror, adding: “They can be outside, enjoying the weather and loving life out of the spotlight.

“Adele and her man Simon are looking at a pad in one of the exclusive gated communities of Beverly Hills because Robbie and Ayda have told Adele that she would be able to have enough land not to feel too trapped and she could have the privacy she so desperately needs to enjoy life.”

The insider continued: “Los Angeles is a great place for children to grow up and she intends on working a lot more with a new album.

“She could afford to put a studio in her house. That way she could beaver away on new music without having to worry. Apparently, with her reported £20 million fortune, Adele isn't too bothered by the price tag.

“She knows she’s extremely comfortable with money and her lifestyle is very chilled and stress free,” the source said.

“Her personal life very much comes first right now.”

During her acceptance speech at the BRIT Awards in February, Adele denied she was moving to the US: “I’m not living here by the way, just in case you think that, I’m coming home!”

Adele gives her baby son his own mini Oscar

Adele gives her baby son his own mini Oscar

Like mother, like son?

Adele shared a photo on Twitter showing her recently-received Oscar (won for singing the theme from "Skyfall") standing proudly next to a matching mini-statuette for her baby boy.

The little one's souvenir "Oscar" reads: "Best Son."

"...and we're home! What an epic trip. Thanks for having us, Hollywood!" she wrote.

Adele, 24, has not yet revealed the name of the baby boy she welcomed in October with boyfriend Simon Konecki.

The Oscar isn't the only hardware she picked up during her time in Hollywood -- in addition to her Academy Award win (she also performed during the ceremony), she picked up a Golden Globe for best original song for "Skyfall."

Adele, James Bond Movie: Singer Tapped to Write Another Theme Song, Talks New Music Plans

Just a week after Adele's "Skyfall" (the title track for the 27th James Bond movie of the same name) won for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards, she's been tapped to provide the theme song for the next James Bond film as well.

According to Britain's The Sun, producers want the singer to work on music for the films the way Shirley Bassey did, who sang various songs for Bond movies including "Diamonds Are Forever", "Moonraker" and "Goldfinger."

A source told the paper, "Producers are thrilled by how well the song has been received and hope Adele's presence on the next film will replicate that success. They want her to become as synonymous with Bond as Dame Shirley."

Although it looks like Adele will be pretty busy working on the Bond music, it might be some time before we hear a follow-up to 21. She recently said she will only release a new album when she has "something to sing about." She explained, "They'll [new songs] come when they're ready."

Joan Rivers Made Fun Of Adele’s Weight On ‘Letterman’: Did She Cross The Line?

Joan Rivers Made Fun Of Adele’s Weight On ‘Letterman’: Did She Cross The Line?

Look, we love Joan Rivers around these parts. She’s a national treasure, and she’s an old pro when it comes to crossing the line. In fact, she’s one of the best at making distasteful jokes. So when she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman Tuesday night (February 26), in her post-Oscars celebrity-skewering wheelhouse, we knew things might get ugly. But, like, in a good way. Alas, Joanie decided to roll off a string of fat jokes about Adele. Didn’t she learn from the Melissa McCarthy “hippo” debacle?

All comedians know, if you’re gonna do the fat joke in this day and age, you better do it in a novel way. Joan Rivers did not do it in a novel way last night: ”What is her song? ‘Rolling in the Deep’? She should add fried chicken.” You can just picture the drummer awaiting his cue for the rimshot. That was followed by, “She said, ’My throat, my throat, I don’t know if I can swallow.’ And I said, ‘Oh, you can swallow.’” Comedy? Watch it below.

To be fair, Rivers makes fun of her own physical attributes later in the interview, so she’s equal opportunity with this stuff (as anyone familiar with her material knows). But, yeesh. If it’s go big or go home, she should’ve left those punchlines at home.

Music Industry Grows First Time in a Decade on Digital Adele

Music Industry Grows First Time in a Decade on Digital Adele

The worldwide recorded music industry’s revenue grew 0.3 percent to $16.5 billion last year, the first increase in more than decade, as more people downloaded music

and used online streaming sites.

Adele’s “21” was the best-selling album and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” was the best-selling single, an industry group representing music labels said in a

statement today. Digital sales rose 9 percent to $5.6 billion and now account for about 34 percent of total revenue, according to the International Federation of the

Phonographic Industry.

The improvement is welcome for an industry battered by piracy, the shuttering of record shops and declining sales of CDs. Digital sales of music now account for the

majority of record companies’ revenue in countries including the U.S., Norway, Sweden and India, the IFPI said.

“These are hard-won successes for an industry that has innovated, battled and transformed itself over a decade,” said Frances Moore, chief executive officer at IFPI.

“They show how the music industry has adapted to the Internet world, learned how to meet the needs of consumers and monetized the digital marketplace.”
Streaming Music

Major services for downloading and streaming music have proliferated and are now available in more than 100 markets, while subscribers to online music services

increased 44 percent to an estimated 20 million in 2012, the group said. The European digital market grew faster than average at about 20 percent in 2012, the IFPI

said.

Still, the industry has a problem with unlicensed music services using tracks without permission. To halt such sites, Internet service providers, search engines and

advertisers need to cooperate, the IFPI said.

The number of people using illegal music-file sharing dropped by 17 percent last year as more streaming services became free to use, according to research from New

York-based NPD Group. The practice peaked in 2005 when one in five Internet users over the age of 13 accessed illegal file-sharing sites to download music, the group

said. The figure is now 11 percent.

“For the music industry, which has been battling digital piracy for over a decade, last year was a year of progress,” said Russ Crupnick, senior vice president of

industry analysis at NPD. “Among other factors, the increased use of legal and licensed streaming services has proven to be an alternative for music fans.”

The IFPI also reported today that British songwriter Adele’s “21” was the first album to top the global chart for two consecutive years since the IFPI began reporting

worldwide best-sellers in 2001. Taylor Swift’s album “Red” took second place last year, followed by One Direction’s “‘Up All Night.”

One Direction had two of the top 10 albums of the year and Maroon 5 and Flo Rida each had two songs in the top 10 singles.

She's Not Wasting Time! Adele Said To Be Trying For Baby Number Two

She's already super busy juggling a very successful music career with various high-profile awards ceremonies and being a mum to a four-month-old son - but Adele is apparently already trying to get pregnant again!

As if she didn't have her hands full already, the singer is believed to be trying for another child with partner Simon Konecki because she wants her children to be close in age.

According to reports this morning, Adele, 24, is getting broody again and is desperate to give Angelo a baby brother or sister and has told friends that she is trying to get pregnant.

A source close to the Oscar-nominated star told The Daily Star On Sunday: "Adele has been telling her friends that she is ready to try for another baby.

"She loves being a mum and wants two kids to grow two years apart."

The friend added that Adele's priorities and career aspirations have changed since she became a mum and although she loves her career, it doesn't compare with having a child.

Let's hope she has found some time to get intimate with her beau because it's been a very busy couple of months for the singer, who scooped the Best British Single gong at last week's Brit Awards for Skyfall and walked away with the Best Pop Solo Performance Grammy for Set Fire to the Rain.

Adele is nominated for the Best Original Song Oscar for her Bond theme tune, Skyfall and is due to perform at the Academy Awards in Los Angeles tonight.

But according to sources, she has been battling with severe stage fright while rehearsing for tonight's ceremony with a full orchestra, and is also concerned that she might fall over in her posh frock!

Onlookers said she gave a pitch-perfect rehearsal but told the orchestra: "My dress, it’s very heavy. I mean I struggle to stand in it. Come and feel how heavy it is so you don’t think I’m a wimp!"

Adele 'Considering Las Vegas Residency'

Adele has reportedly been offered a multi-million pound deal that would see her regularly performing in Las Vegas.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday that the singer is considering the offer to enable her to settle in one place rather than tour the world, while she gets to grips with motherhood.

Adele is also keen to record new music and feels it would be easier if she was based in one place. The paper claims she has been picking Sir Elton John's brain on the subject.

"Adele is top of the Vegas hit-list and she's seriously considering it as an option," the source said.

"She wants to get back to performing but doesn't want to go on the road so soon after becoming a mum.

"A Vegas residency would mean she could settle with her family and record her third album all at once. She's been asking for advice from Elton, who has spent years performing at Caesars Palace.

"Adele has been chatting to Elton about her fears of singing live again. Elton's been like a godfather to her recently, helping her settle into life as a superstar and the challenges of being a parent.

"He eased her mind about returning to the stage, the significance of the Oscars and how she should return to playing live as she has such a great gift."

Adele recently picked up the Best Pop Solo Performance at The Grammys - but it was her supposed row with Chris Brown that received more news coverage - which she later went on to deny.

'60 Minutes' pays tribute to singers Adele, Rodriguez and Taylor Swift

In tonight's special episode of "60 Minutes," the CBS cornerstone paid tribute to three phenomenal singers who have brought much joy to fan's ears and hearts.

The first interview was with Adele that Anderson Cooper did in February, 12, 2012. The British singer became an instant success. Her songs of heartbreak have brought tears to the eyes of jilted people who have shared heartbreak. Adele is a what you see is what you get performer and has no intention of being a skinny Minnie. She spoke to her about her vocal cord problems and her laser surgery to remove the polyps and how she could not talk for a considerable amount of time. Forever the potty mouth, she found a way to use those expletives by phone and computer. However, her voice is timeless and at the present time, back stronger than ever. She took Anderson to the spacious manor where she now lives and basically hides from paparazzi. She moreover has set traps for those around her, by starting small rumors to see who would talk to the tabloids. Happy now with her life and fans and especially her voice, she even sang "Rolling in the Deep" a cappella for Anderson.

The next was singer known only as Rodriguez. In South Africa, this Detroit singer made his mark many years ago as apartheid ruled the nation, his hit "Sugar Man" was a national treasure. The song depicts what he saw and felt on the streets of Detroit. The record bombed in the U.S., but in South Africa, his songs were an icon. His lyrics resonated with the people who had enough of the segregation. The South Africans found out that he had committed suicide by dousing himself with gasoline and setting himself on fire, while on stage; however, there was no proof. Twenty-five years later, a record store owner who loved his music looked further into the lyrics and saw the word Dearborn in one of his songs. Knowing that it was near Detroit, they went there and found his home. Inside was Rodriguez, who had been working as a day laborer, very much alive. He had no idea that his records were selling in South Africa because he never saw a penny. He performed a concert there, and 5,000 people showed up to see the resurrection of their favorite singer. No longer, a poor man, he has a new pride in himself that he surely deserved long ago. He said being poor does not mean being dirty or stupid. Now 70 years old and nearly blind, he is still the same as he was all his life. His daughter knows that he will probably just give the money away, but she hopes her buys himself a new pair of dark glasses.

The last, but surely not least, was Taylor Swift. They caught up with her last year on tour. Her message is that you can be a good girl and still be popular. No attention is drawn to herself by scandalous photos or outrageous behavior, but she is a true autobiographer in her musical writing. In 2001, her family finally took her to Nashville. At 11 years old, she wanted a record deal, but none came. At 14, she was ready to walk away from her development contract because they just wanted her to sing other people's songs; not ones that she wrote. When she left, she got a contract and the rest is history. She spends an hour before every show to meet and greet her fans, who love her just the way she is.

Great job, "60 Minutes," thanks for the feel good stories!

Why Do British Singers Sound American?

For the new James Bond film, Skyfall, British singer Adele has recorded a song with the same name. Although Adele speaks with a strong accent of London, his voice seems more American than British. Why the British singers often its America when they sing?

Because it is the way everyone should pop musicians and rock sound. British singers have been imitating the pronunciation from Cliff Richard, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones began recording in the 1960s.* that these musicians have been largely influenced by the African-American vernacular black English American blues and rock and roll singers such as Chuck Berry, but fake American dialects is generally composed of various American dialects. Imitating an American accent involved the adoption of vowels of America and rhoticity: the pronunciation of Kr everywhere where they appear in a Word. (Nonrhoticity, is on the other hand, the habit of your downfall at the end of a syllable, as do most of the dialects of England.) Sometimes trying to sing in an American-style British went to the sea with the KR, as Paul McCartney in his cover of "Till There Was You", pronounced seen more like a sock.

Linguist Peter Trudgill rhoticity British rock music has followed over the years and found that the pronunciation of the Kr Beatles declined in the 1960s, settling into a transatlantic sound that incorporated aspects of British and American dialects. The trend also went in the opposite direction of new genres developed: the pop-punk singers Americans like Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day took a stained British accent to seem more like seminal artists such as Joe Strummer of the Clash. Contemporary singers continue to adopt different accents depending on their type. Keith Urban, who is Australian, singing country music with a marked American southern accent. A recent study suggests that emphasis of default for New Zealand pop song uses the sounds of vowels American, even when singers are try his American, perhaps because singers of today were laid while listening to pop singing American (and the imitation of America).
Advertising

What singers not try to imitate a particular vocal style associated with a type, regional dialects tend to get lost in the song: Intonation is replaced by the melody, the length of the vowel of the duration of each note and vocal cadences by the rhythm of the song. That is why the vowel sounds and rhoticity more important emphasis of transmission in the song.

Adele’s Third Album to be Inspired by her Pregnancy

 Adele’s Third Album
ADELE
According to a source, Adele has been inspired by her pregnancy during the creative process for her upcoming third album.

For many women, pregnancy and children are a change of lifestyle. For musicians and artists, the process becomes a new source of inspiration or a change of sound. Adele, who appears to be starting work on a third album, is apparently inspired by her recent pregnancy, which was officially announced in June.

The singer’s third album, a follow-up to the breakup-inspired 21, is expected to have a lighter character. A source told Us Magazine: "It will be lighter than her last ode to break up. The pregnancy has had a big impact on her songwriting.

"She is lying low and focusing on becoming a mum. The baby is healthy and she's so excited."

The “Rolling in the Deep” singer is expected to give birth before the end of 2012. This is her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki.

An album is not the only project Adele is working on. She recently confirmed she’s singing the theme for the upcoming James Bond film. The track, which she apparently recorded at Abbey Road Studios, is called “Skyfall.”

Musical endeavors aside, the singer, according to the Daily Mail, is working with Burberry, the brand, known for its tan, red, white, and black plaid. Burberry’s chief, Christopher Bailey, approached Adele, and while her role does not appear to be finalized, Adele could have a consultative, designing, or creative process position. Her presence is expected to give the brand, associated over the past decade with British chav culture, a boost.

Adele likes vintage talons

Adele prefers to have vintage-inspired nails.

While many stars have been delving into the world of contemporary nail art, Adele prefers to keep things more simple. Her manicurist Zoe Pocock explained the star looks to the olden days for inspiration.

"Adele likes a long oval nail. It's a vintage shape and length," she explained to the latest edition of UK InStyle.

Although the 24-year-old singer keeps her nail length and shape simple, she plays around with polish. Adele enjoys using nail wraps to give her fingers some zing and has made unusual requests when it comes to the colours she's wanted too.

"She asked for metallic strips for a recent appearance on a UK TV show; metallic gold wraps for a pre-Grammy show and for the Grammy Awards, we did Ciaté's Caviar Manicure using Ciaté's Paint Pot in Jewel [purple flecked with gold] on the tops of her nails," Zoe explained. "She also wanted a Louboutin effect, with red underneath the nail, so I slicked polish on the underside of her nails

Adele Buys Bargain Underwear

Adele Buys Bargain Underwear

Adele's underwear only costs £1.

The 'Rolling in the Deep' hitmaker - who is expecting her first child with partner Simon Konecki - is reportedly a "big fan" of budget high street chain Primark and particularly likes their "novelty" undergarments.

Author Chas Newkey-Burden writes in 'Adele: The Biography': "She is still the same girl she always has been. For instance, one day after she hit the big time she followed a visit to the Louis Vuitton store by going to knockdown-clothes favourite Primark.

"She is a big fan and loves the £1 knickers with all the novelty designs and funny jokes on them. But she knows she can only wear them once because they just fall apart."

However, the 24-year-old singer - whose album '21' is the biggest-selling record of the 21st century - is more than willing to splash out when buying handbags.

Chas added: "One of her most expensive models was made by Chanel and set her back over £2,000."

Adele is also a big fan of having false nails fitted as they make her feel womanly.

Chas explained: "She loves acrylic nails. She calls them her ghetto nails and says they make her feel like a woman."

Adele Is Flipping Crazy to Give Up Swearing (VIDEO)

Adele Is Flipping Crazy to Give Up Swearing (VIDEO)

Adele's pregnancy came as such a huge surprise, but I think it's safe to say everyone is pretty excited to see whether or not her baby inherits his or her famous mama's incredible set of pipes.

But while I'm sure she'll be thrilled if her little one winds up being able to belt it out in grand fashion just like she does -- the singer is fairly worried about her baby picking up one of her bad habits. And that's why in preparation for the arrival of her baby in September, Adele has vowed to give up swearing altogether.

And all I can say is, what the fu&% is she thinking? Doesn't she realize that this is one of the last times in her life when she doesn't have to worry about dropping f-bombs without her child imitating her?

Supposedly she thinks that her unborn baby is going to hear her muttering curse words under her breath and somehow pick them up in utero, and come out in the delivery room swearing like a sailor or something like that. But the truth is that the sounds a baby hears in the womb are honestly nothing more than muffled noises, so she ought to just go ahead and let loose and say whatever the hell she wants while she still can.

Because after that baby arrives, everything kind of goes in the crapper as far as being able to innocently swear goes. Yeah, yeah -- the first year really isn't all that big of deal as far as letting an occasional bad word slip out. But after her little one gets talking? That's when she's going to have to really be conscious of what she says -- because toddlers can't resist blurting out something they heard their mom say at the most inopportune time.

(Go ahead -- ask me about the time my son piped up from the back seat at around 2 1/2 years old and said, "Why is (so-and-so) a bitch, Mommy?" I dare you.)

There will be plenty of things Adele will be forced to give up after having this baby, so for the time being, she really ought to just relax and enjoy pregnancy, and all of the unexpected perks that go along with it. And if she spits out a dirty word here and there? Nobody's going to give a rat's ass.

Check out this video clip to see what else Adele is doing to get ready for the birth of her baby.
