Adele feels "too young" to write an autobiography

Adele feels "too young" to write an autobiography

Adele - who gave birth to son Angelo last Septemberwith fiancé Simon Konecki - also feels she needs more "life experience" in order to conjure up a book.

A source revealed to The Mirror newspaper: "Adele's never been a really showy person, so it was always going to take a lot to get her to write her life story anyway.

"But even though she received a lucrative offer, her primary concern was that she doesn't want to write a book about just 24 years. She feels she'd rather wait until she has more life experience to write about.

"She'd never say never, but she did say 'not now'."

The couple recently splashed out on several pieces of art work by infamous artist Andy Warhol for their home in Sussex, Southern England, and plan to add more to their collection.

A n insider said: "Adele and her partner Simon Konecki had the pair of prints delivered to their house in the past month.

"They're Warhol fans and the butterfly works are a good investment as well.

"The Warhols have already been hung in pride of place on the walls of the living room at the huge house.

"The couple are hoping to get more contemporary art for the walls to add to their collection, including paintings by Damien Hirst and Banksy."

21 is key for Adele

21 is key for Adele

The 60 richest young people aged 30 and under, excluding sportsmen, have combined wealth of £4.07bn. Nine of the entries in the Young Rich List are worth more than £75m and make it into the list of Britain's richest 1,000. Adele heads the list of the Richest Young Musicians.

Adele hasn’t made public the name of her first child, a son born in October, but we do know there’s now an Oscar in the family.

The Tottenham-born singer, 24, co-wrote and recorded Skyfall, the theme song to the latest James Bond movie, which won her an Academy award in February for best original song. That followed the continued success of her album 21. By the end of 2012 it had sold more than 25m copies (including more than 10m in America and 4.5m in the UK) at a time when sales generally are plummeting. It has also

Departing rolls in Illinois Derby

Departing rolls in Illinois Derby

Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider's Departing rolled to a strong 3 1/4-length victory in the $750,000 Illinois Derby April 20 at Hawthorne Racecourse, proving his class after a third-place finish in the last month's Louisiana Derby.

Running on Lasix for the first time, the 3-year-old homebred War Front gelding returned to the winning ways that saw him go undefeated in three straight races before the Louisiana Derby. He closed from off the pace to finish 1 1/8 miles in 1:50.78 under wraps as the 9-5 favorite, and was followed home by 23-1 shot Fordubai and 9-1 Siete de Oros.

Fourteen 3-year-old colts took aim at the big purse.

Jockey Brian Hernandez Jr. took a patient approach to Hawthorne's marquee event aboard the Al Stall Jr. trainee, allowing Departing to track along far back behind a pace set alternately by Ground Transport, who went a quarter in :23.10, and Taken by the Storm, who took the advantage for a half in :47.71 and three-quarters in 1:13.03.

"Once he got down the backside, I thought I was on the best horse," Hernandez said. "He was just kind of cruising and going really easy today. He looks like he's getting better with distance."

Steadily moving along the outside from ninth early, Departing picked off horses one by one until he had just three to collar turning for home four wide. The bay gelding kicked clear at the top of the stretch and increased his advantage for a mile in 1:38.15, finishing the final furlong under a hand ride.

Fordubai, racing erratically under the left-handed stick of jockey Diego Sanchez, finished second and survived an inquiry to hold the place by a neck over Siete de Oros and Angel Arroyo. Abraham, Street Spice, For Greater Glory, Narvaez, Dewey Square, Ground Transport, Bells Big Bernie, Show Some Magic, Stormin Monarcho, Taken by the Storm, and Dakota Mac completed the order of finish.

Departing paid $5.80, $3.60, and $3. Fordubai returned $16.60 and $9.40. Siete de Oros paid $5.80.

Bred in Kentucky out of the Pulpit mare Leave, Departing improved his record to four wins and a third from five starts, with earnings of $628,000. Although the Illinois Derby is not worth points on the road to the May 4 Kentucky Derby, the gelding already had 20 points to make the Derby field by virtue of his Louisiana Derby showing.

His connections, however, have indicated they will not wheel back to run for the May 4 Derby. A potential start in the May 18 Preakness Stakes would seem more likely, but even that is up for discussion, said Stall.

"There's no use talking about the Preakness until we see what happens in the Kentucky Derby," he remarked. "There are some good horses there. If they do their thing and scare everybody off, we might do something differently."

Adele becomes Britain’s richest young musician

Adele becomes Britain’s richest young musician

The Rolling In The Deep hitmaker, who turns 25 next month, is number one on the Sunday Times’ annual under 30 rich list for the second year running - despite taking an extended break to recover from a throat operation and to give birth to her first child last year.

Adele’s bank balance has swelled by £10 million in the last 12 months, thanks to continued sales of her albums and the success of her Oscar-winning James Bond theme tune, Skyfall. The new figure means Adele is way ahead of her fellow British musicians under 30 - pop star Cheryl Cole, 29, is a distant runner-up with £14 million, Leona Lewis, 28, and Katie Melua, 28, lag behind in joint third with £12 million, while 26-year-old rocker Florence Welch has earned £9 million. Boyband One Direction has also made an entry on the list after amassing a joint fortune of £25 million. But the chart-topping youngsters will have to start saving their pennies to topple the industry veterans - Sir Paul McCartney and his heiress wife Nancy Shevell lead the way with £680 million.

Robbie Williams not recording with Adele

Robbie Williams not recording with Adele

London: Singer Robbie Williams has rubbished reports suggesting that he will be recording a duet with Adele.

The 'Candy' hitmaker had reportedly roped in the Oscar-winning singer for a collaboration on his upcoming second album, reported Digital Spy.

"She and my wife, Ayda, are really good friends and I'm really good friends with Simon (Konecki), her boyfriend. We're good pals, but I wouldn't ask Adele to sing on my record.

"The whole world wants Adele to sing on their record. I think we'll just leave it as a nice friendship, so that story about a duet is totally made up," he said.

However, Williams, 39, did confirm that he is planning to record a duet with Grammy Award winning singer Michael Buble.

"I can tell you that Mr Michael Buble is on the album. Me and Michael on the same record, I'm so excited! We're going to record a song I've written and graciously, he thinks it's a good tune too and wants to be on it... I am a big fan girl of him.

"He's quite a presence. I'm a pop star, I've got a 'character' and a 'personality' and all that but when he comes into the studio, I stand back and just enjoy him being him," he said.

Paul McCartney still richest musician in the U.K. - Adele makes the list

It pays to be a former Beatle, at least if you're one of the band's chief songwriters. Sir Paul McCartney again tops the list of richest musicians in the United Kingdom. Between McCartney and his wife, Nancy Shevell, the couple has a staggering $1.05 billion fortune.

The annual list, compiled by the Sunday Times, ranks the wealthiest people in Britain and Ireland. McCartney isn't new to the list, as he's been the U.K.'s wealthiest musician since it began in 1989. These days, Paul has some help from Nancy, his third wife. Her family owns New England Motor Freight, a U.S. trucking company that employs over 1,300 drivers.

Other notables on the list are Adele, as the richest musician under 30, worth over $46 million. One Direction steps up as the boy band with the biggest combined wealth, at $38.5 million. The full list will be published April 21, but there's no indication where, if at all, Ringo Starr lands.

Adele Achieves Big Accomplishment in the UK

Adele has been named the richest young musician in the UK thanks to the £30 million fortune she has accrued. The 24-year-old singer comes in at number one on The Sunday Times Rich List of 2013, topping fellow British singers Cheryl Cole and Leona Lewis. This is Adele's second year on the top of the charts—she came in at number one with her £20 million paycheck in 2012. The £10 million increase has everything to do with the success of Adele's James Bond theme song, "Skyfall." No wonder she can deck out her house in Andy Warhol art!

Adele has splashed out £15,000 on arcade machines for her new house.

Adele has splashed out £15,000 on arcade machines for her new house.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "She is kitting out her place with the latest mod cons. But she's still finding room for quirky gizmos such as the arcade machines.

"They'll have pride of place in her new games room."

Adele and her partner Simon Konecki are preparing to move into a mansion on the coast of Sussex, Southern England, and have spent £2 million renovating it.

Adele has long been a fan of games and toys, renting a property with a vintage bowling alley inside when she appeared at the Oscars in February.

She also reportedly had three full-size snooker tables in the house she lived in before buying her new mansion.

Gaming aside, Adele is also planning to take her driving test to help her get around after putting it off due to the phenomenal success of her album '21'.

A source said: "She's never taken a test because of her busy schedule over the past few years. Now she's back in the country she wants to use her downtime to finally pass her test.

"She may have various awards to her name but all she wants is her driving test certificate. There will be no sports cars though - she is eyeing up a more family-friendly car so she can carry the whole clan."
